
Sales & Catering Manager Kathleen Mottin
For 20 years Kathleen Mottin has been creating lasting memories of life’s special moments. She joined Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino when it opened in 2003 and quickly put to use her experience and expertise in event planning to create memorable occasions for groups big and small.
Kathleen now personally coordinates all weddings at Chukchansi. Her services and valuable knowledge, skills and attention to detail are included in every wedding package at no extra charge.
Kathleen’s career began in 1989 at the Relais & Cheateaux’s Stonepine Estate Resort, located on 300 acres in the heart of Carmel Valley, CA. At the elite resort she hosted movie and commercial shoots, coordinated celebrity weddings and getaways, and planned themed costume parties and equestrian events.
Here, she learned that successful events are achieved by tending the smallest during every stage of the planning process. Kathleen worked as Concierge, Reservation Manager and Sales and Catering Director. For eight years she coordinated everything that goes into an elegant wedding and anniversary celebration. She arranged: officiant and ceremony details, horse drawn carriages, dove releases, DJ’s and musicians of every type, floral décor, photographers, videographers, rehearsals and menus.
In 1997, Kathleen moved to the Coarsegold area to work at another Relais & Chateaux property, Erna’s Elderberry House and Chateau du Sureau, a Five Diamond Five Mobile Star property. She continued to coordinate special events, wedding and anniversary celebrations, commercial shoots, and family reunions and still found time to plan gourmet-cooking classes.
Six years later, Kathleen brought her talents to Chukchansi, where she has created lasting memories for its guests ever since.
