COARSEGOLD, CA (January 25, 2007) – Today Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino opened the Central Valley's premiere high limit slot area, The Summit. The Summit is part of Chukchansi Gold's ongoing expansion plan aimed at enhancing guests' experience at the casino. This additional 2,150 square feet of gaming is a private high limit slot area equipped with over 40 gaming machines with minimum bets ranging from $1 to $100. To celebrate The Summit's Grand Opening, Chukchansi Gold invited six representatives from local non-profits to compete in a video poker slot tournament for cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $10,000, giving away nearly $30,000 in cash. "At Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino our goal is to provide our guests with a total experience in entertainment," said General Manager Jeff Livingston. "Adding The Summit to the extensive and diverse list of entertainment we offer at Chukchansi is just another way for us to add a 'wow-factor' to our facility. And, what better way to kick it off than to celebrate with some of our Valley's most dedicated non-profit organizations." Non-profits participating in The Summit High Limit Slot Tournament included Central California Legal Services, Children's Hospital Central California, Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging, Fresno Metropolitan Museum, H.O.P.E. Animal Foundation, and Make-A-Wish of Central California. Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, the six non-profits each received $500 to play "Jacks or Better" for a total of 10 minutes on the Game King Machines located in The Summit gaming area. All organizations were awarded cash prizes determined by their final score as follows: 1st Place: $10,000; 2nd Place: $7,500; 3rd Place: $5,000; 4th Place: $2,500; 5th Place: $1,500; 6th Place: $ 1,000 The Summit is open to everyone and is located just off the main hotel lobby entrance, down the corridor on the right hand side. The Summit provides a private, full service experience where guests can enjoy flat screen televisions, complimentary concierge services and high limit gaming. Gamers in The Summit can also enjoy complimentary beverages and snacks as well as 24-hour delivery service, brought straight to the player, from any of the casino's seven restaurants.
